i’m always on the lookout for a replacement if the Allroad gets taken out. There really isn;t much to choose from. I’d probably just be best off resurrection it if anything catastrophic were to happen.
$15k, wagon, no FWD, manual, decent factory power
BMW 3 series
Impreza (which my wife has banned another WRX so forget that)
Outbacks
Foresters

C6 3.0t A6 avants are the next best option. I almost went that route after the S4 was totaled. But they were impossible to find, every dealer would laugh when I asked if they had any in stock.. One even said there was a waiting list for 3.0t avants. I went with my old girl (c4) cause it was too cheap not to. Having no monthly payment has proven to be nice.

LOL and lots of it. Those chains are going to need attention very soon.
Also in the sellers notes: “Great on gas”
That may be true, but the gas wont be great on the wallet.

Looks like German wise you're gonna be in either a B7 A4 avant (iirc those came with stick, right?) or an E91 328i.

That would be a fun ride. Is there any way you can get a warranty on it? I don’t know Audi engines too well so I’m not much help. Price seems kinda high for the mileage, but it is a unicorn.
You should check out the E61 535xi. Twin turbo inline six wagon, 6MT available, and it’s pretty roomy too. I’m not gonna lie and say the N54 engine is super reliable or anything, but overall it’s solid. If you get a well maintained example, it’ll be solid. The HPFP is the big weak point but there’s a long warranty on them and the updated part is much better. I have a 335i and have put over 10k on it since I bought it last fall, only problem I've had is a broken charge pipe. Easy $200 fix, bought a much better aftermarket part.
